In this consultation, an expert genetic counselor will conduct a risk analysis to identify possible genetic disorders you may be susceptible to. By using your family history to construct a pedigree, it will be examined to assess the risk you have of inheriting the disorder, as well as the risk of passing it down to your children.
They will then recommend the appropriate genetic tests needed. You will be informed about the nature of the sample required, what the test aims to identify and the possible implications of the result.
After receiving your consent, we will refer your genetic testing to one of our trusted partner labs who will send us the result to interpret and discuss with you in your post-test consultation.
This will all be documented in a consultation summary which will be sent to you.

This will be documented in an exhaustive consultation report. You have the choice to share this report with your doctor, or alternatively, your genetic counsellor can suggest referring you to our network of specialists through our trusted healthcare partners.
